Derived from Sungold Gold volunteer, which was originally the hybrid Sungold cherry tomato. Last year it was small and gold, and this year it is smaller (3/4" diameter) and red. Extremely early and prolific even in late September, with a very nice taste and and skins that are not tough. It had no blight or other disease. Very large vine sprawls over several adjacent neighboring cherry tomatoes and should be staked or provided with a very tall cage. Too tiny for the birds and chipmunks to bother it. I do not guarantee that it will be tiny and red again. I start my tomatoes in small 4-pack pots around April 20, in zone 6a, and transplant the seedlings about 6 weeks later (late May or early June). They grow quickly once they have been transplanted. I used to move them to 3" or 4" pots.
