Proctors

Pole lima. Mature pods are straight to slightly curved and measure 3.5-4" long by 0.67" wide. Seed coat varies from uniformly white to white with a mottled black keel. 2-4 seeds per pod. Strongly climbing plants have white flowers. Fresh beans are sweet with a classic lima flavor. Vigorous. Moderately productive when grown in 2023 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by Garland Brown who obtained this variety from neighbor Joseph Proctor. Brought to the US from England by the Proctor family several generations ago. SSE Accession # 112721
