Syrup variety. Brix score: 13.4. Plants reach 7.5-9ft tall and most often do not have tillers. Compact, erect panicles are 9-11" long. Large, white grains are partially starchy. Black glumes cover about half the grain. ~3000-4000 grains per panicle. Moderately easy to thresh. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by David and Donna Phillips (IN PH D) who acquired this variety in 1985 from Mamie Winfrey (MO WI M). SSE Accession # 119309
