Anna Meyer

Indet. Regular leaf. Medium vigor. Vines have good heat tolerance but fruit are very prone to sunscald. A large, relatively early bicolor beefsteak. Medium to large sized fruit, round to flat, smooth to very deeply lobed--quite variable. Top splits and blossom-end catfacing very common. Nonetheless an attractive fruit, yellow on top and red/pink/orange on the bottom, shot through with red streaks inside when ripe. Meaty, subacid, not sweet, but has a complex, unique flavor that is difficult to describe, and quite pleasant. Maybe citrusy? Not juicy. A good slicer.
