A staff favorite for taste! C. baccatum. Hot. Finger-sized fruit ripens from pale yellow-green to reddish-pink. Delightfully fruity with light citrus and berry overtones. Medium to high pungency at maturity, but not overwhelming. Crisp and crunchy texture; juicy. Fruit elongate; pendant; with a semi-wrinkled skin; pointed blossom end. Ripe fruit 2.6-4.4" long, 0.6-0.9" wide, and 4-6oz. Plants 2-3' tall; erect; sparsely branched. Light green leaves and stems; light purple nodes. Flowers white, erect with yellow spots in the throat. Highly productive; severe lodging; mid-season maturing when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. This variety was donated to SSE in 1996 by Darrell Kellogg (MI KE D) who obtained it in 1987 from Bishop Nursery in Oregon. SSE Accession # 117275
