Irma Colvin House Pea

Medium off-white cowpea with brown eye. 12-16 peas/pod. Long vines will climb any plant or structure in their path. I like to pick at the shelly stage just as the green pods are turning red. My family finds the flavor to be milder and less 'earthy' than other cowpeas. We use it in Vietnamese crepes as well as various Southern dishes, I am listing it for the first time in 2026 but have been growing it since 2011 when I obtained the seed from SSE member Marcy Frampton (LAFRM ).
