Dietrich’s Wild Brocolli Raab

An escapee turnip which naturalized in New Jersey. The edible part of the plant is the “Raab” or young flower buds which are tasty and bitter. Plant late summer/fall and eat early the following spring. I harvest in April in the Colorado mountains when nothing else is happening! Also an excellent bee plant.
