Kosovo Blue

Kosovo is an predominantly ethnic Albanian nation that Serbia claims jurisdiction over, but other countries recognize. I was surprised to find any seeds from there, but at the Oliver Kelley Farm seed swaps, someone there had managed to save seeds from this little-known country. I know very little about Albanian cuisine, nor how pumpkin is used, but once I cut open this pretty grayish blue squash, I will try doing an authentic recipe. I managed to successfully hand-pollinate 1 fruit successfully, so seed is limited. Notably the only maxima that did ok in 2025 (others succumbed to viruses spread by cucumber beetles).
