Pole. Roma-type snap bean. Also a good dry bean. Pods 4.5-5.5" long. Pods develop light red blush as they mature. 5-7 seeds per pod. Seeds are large, oval-shaped, with grey speckling and brown stripes. Medium-low productivity at Heritage Farm in 2020. Pole habit. Mid-late season. Donated to SSE by Exchange lister Bryan Connolly (CT CO B2) who received this bean from Lawrence Davis-Hollander (MA HO L) of the Eastern Native Seed Conservancy in Massachusetts. Reportedly a Berkshire County, Massachusetts heirloom from Marion Grant, Pittsfield, MA, 1920s. SSE Accession # 105312
