Small (2-3") conical shaped güero type chile (C. annuum), originally from Durango, Mexico, but given to us by my partner's grandmother, Abuelita Chita Terrones Nevarez of Torreon, Mexico, who was given them by a friend in her hometown in Durango. These are classic "tornachiles" typical of Durango and Zacatecas, usually pickled to make a spicy condiment, but also wonderful in salsas, soups, and more. Delicious bright fruity flavor and crunchy texture, very spicy and extremely prolific, but sweeter when ripened to deep red-orange. Relatively thin walls, possibly good for drying.
