Cubit Slicer

Dark green fruit with pale green stripes at blossom end. White spines on prominent warts. Superficial ribbing. Glossy skin. Slightly angular in cross section. Pale green flesh. No flavor; dry, dense texture; not very crisp. Market fruit 5-9" long, 1.2-2.4" wide, and 2-9oz. Average productivity; mid-season maturing when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Strong possibility that this is a parthenocarpic variety. This variety was donated to SSE in 1987 by Carleton Currier (CO CU C). SSE Accession # 109186
