Benincasa hispida Mokwa Fuzzy Gourd/winter Melon

Medium vines will climb or can be left to ramble. Young fruit, about 8 in. long, 3–4 inches in diameter, are peeled and cooked like squash, with a lightly sweet, mild cucumber sort of taste. Older fruit mature to become "Winter Melons", which keep well. Popular in Chinese cuisine and easy to cook with. (In the web site picture, it's the larger, dark green fruit.)
