Plants 3-5' tall with heavy foliage and 6" long tender green pods. Plants are prolific. Donated to SSE by Jim Tjepkema (MN TJ J) who acquired this variety from Curtis Choplin (SC CH C). Choplin (1933-2016) introduced this variety into the 1986 SSE Exchange and stated it was from B. R. Meek (1911-1991) of Clover, South Carolina. At that time it had been in Meek's family 100 years (SSE estimates circa the 1880s). SSE Accession # 103169
