Western Tennessee Heirloom

Mid-season yellow sweet corn. Very good, well rounded corn flavor that is not too sweet and quite tender. Large kernels. Ears 6-8 inches long. White cobs with 14-18 kernel rows. Nice full ears. 1-2 ears per plant. Plants 5-6' tall and sturdy with no tillers. Plants have extensive purple pigmentation on stems, husks, and tassles. A nice variety. Donated to SSE by Lois Oberholtzer of Lobelville, TN. The Oberholtzers received seeds of the variety from their friends, Dean and Ginger Ware, of Waynesboro, TN. Dean and Ginger have been maintaining the variety since they were given the seeds in 1980. SSE Accession # 132348
