Gotland Blue

We do not recommend this as a shelling pea as it is not sweet or juicy. It should be eaten as a soup pea. The plants are tall, measuring 4-4.5' tall with purple-green pods. There is some variability in the intensity of purple pigmentation, with some pods having solid green pods, some pods having purple-green pods, though most pods are nearly solid to solid purple. The pods measure 2.5-3" long and 0.6" wide and are slightly curved. Plants average one pod per node and have average productivity. The flowers have dark pink inner petals and light pink outer petals.
