Prince Edward

Shelling pea. Sumptuous flavor! Sweet, flavorful, juicy. 4-6 seeds per pod. Pods flat-ish, like a snow pea, but fill out partially as seeds swell. Pods are not edible. Unusual growth habit. Short, stalky plants (2-3' tall) have lots of foliage. The tops of the plants curl and form little rosettes of leaves. White flowers. Not very productive at Heritage Farm but worth growing for the flavor! Green, wrinkled seeds.
