Romaine. Tender, crisp, and juicy. Plants medium large form 1.0-1.3' high and 1.6-1.7' in diameter; form a loose elliptic head at market maturity. Leaves light green with a red tinge around margins; spatulate; slightly wavy; moderately toothed. Largest leaves measure 11.4-13.8" long and 6.7-7.5" wide. Low bolting tendency at Heritage Farm in 2017 season. SSE acquired this accession from the Leibniz-Institut für Pflzanzengenetik und Kulturpflanzenforschung (IPK gene bank) in Gatersleben, Germany during the 1990s SSE Accession # 111957
