Plum to small globe tomato. Indeterminate growth habit with regular leaves. Round to ellipsoid fruits with striking green and gold streaks. Market mature fruit measure 2.2-2.6" long, 2-2.4" wide, and weigh 3.3-4oz. Vibrant green flesh is mildly acidic with a good balance of meat to juice. Sweet, zingy flavor. High productivity and moderate vigor when grown in 2023 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by Tom Wagner of Tater Mater Seeds. He started breeding this variety as a 13 year old on his family’s Kansas farm. According to Carolyn Male’s book “100 Heirloom Tomatoes for the American Garden,” this variety was popularized by chef Alice Waters of the California restaurant Chez Panisse. SSE Accession # 122014
