VEGETABLES / TOMATO
RED
This is a pink beefsteak tomato with cat face. Ribbing extends down the entire fruit. These tomatoes are very lumpy. They grow in clusters of 2. The fruit is 4-4.5" wide, 2-2.5" long, and about 1 lb. The plants are about 4ft tall and indeterminate. Fruit is fairly acidic. It is mid season maturing. SSE member Lloyd Duggins (IN DU L) of Mauckport, Indiana, began sharing this tomato in the 1982 Exchange. Lloyd named the variety after receiving them in the early 1980s from a stranger who indicated the tomato was from a family on Blue River. This is presumably a reference to the Blue River which runs through southern Indiana. SSE Accession # 121620
