VEGETABLES / PEPPER
UNSORTED-PEPPERS
Capsicum annuum. Small, round, fiery, red pepper about the size and shape of a wild strawberry. Wouldn't take many of these to set a soup on fire. Fruit erect, with a thick, tough skin. Very late maturing; just three ripe fruit among 12 plants in 2020 growing season at Heritage Farm. Tall, upright, lush plants have a nice stature. 3-3.5 feet tall. No lodging. Grown by Carolina Schottland in 2021 for the Collection Documentation Project; she described the taste as "mostly heat, with no fruitiness or earthiness to speak of" and rated the variety "good" overall.
