Pimento, Yellow Cheese

Yellow pimento pepper. Oblate, ribbed fruit have an orange blush at full maturity. Green when immature, with some purple anthocyanin. Thick walls. Uniform size and shape. 1.5-2 inches long, 3 inches wide, 3-4 ounces. Very mild flavor. Low sweetness with even some subtle off-flavors. Crunchy, juicy texture. Best as a stuffing pepper. Large placenta but few seeds. Plants reach 2.5-3 feet tall. Intermediate productivity. Mid-season maturing. Brix score 6.5. Capsicum annuum. SSE Accession # 116401
