Cubanelle

C. annuum. Cubanelle type pepper. This is a sweet pepper, though not incredibly sweet. When eaten at the green, immature stage it has a vegatative flavor and when eaten at the red, ripe stage it is sweeter. At all stages it is very crunchy. The pepper is a long, elongated bell shape and is slightly tapered. They have smooth, glossy skin. Matures from green to red/orange. The plants are tall and leafy. They are also very likely to lodge. Very low productivity when grown in 2019 at Heritage Farm. SSE Accession # 117952
