Berkshire Oxheart

Pink, heart-shaped to plum-shaped tomato. Indeterminate. Regular leaves. Vigorous plants with dense foliage. Fruit are slightly ribbed at stem end. Rounded blossom end. Moderate concentric and radial cracking. Tendency for skin to split. Commonly 2-4 fruit per cluster. Fruit measure 3-4" long; 2.8-3.7" wide; and weigh 0.5-1lb. Brix score: 5.0. Intermediate productivity when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Flower stigma level with anther cone. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Lawrence Davis-Hollander (MA HO L) who received this variety from Eva Crocini. It dates to at least to the 1930s in Berkshire County, MA. SSE Accession # 125440
