Curly leaf. Light green, obovate leaves are highly undulating with small teeth. Moderate blistering of leaf blade. Plants average 7" tall and 12" in diameter. Largest leaves average 5.9" long by 6.8" wide. Excellent texture. Sweet flavor, minimal bitterness. Mid-season maturing. Given to SSE by Mrs. L. Reaume. She obtained the variety from her husband's mother who most likely received it from grandmother Meme La Porte. Reportedly grown since at least the 1930s. SSE Accession # 111846
