This variety was given to SSE by Harold Moore (AL MO H) who began listing it in the 1996 SSE Yearbook Exchange. Moore indicated it's family heirloom that's been grown in his family since the at least 1960s and is from his grandfather, Isaac Speegle, of Cullman County, Alabama. SSE Accession # 109007
