VEGETABLES / TOMATO
PINK-PURPLE
Jody McClintock of Moyie Springs, Idaho, has stewarded this variety since 2019 from seed received from her neighbor, Cristina (Agazzi) Wheeler. Cristina had gotten them from her cousin, Laura (Pawk) Santora, of Butler, Pennsylvania, in 2018. Laura had preserved seeds passed down from her father, Dr. Michael L. Pawk (1939-2014), who received them from restaurateur John A. Natili (1910-1977) in the late 1960s. John was the son of an Italian immigrant who came to the United States in 1907 to work in western Pennsylvania’s coal mines. Natili brought the tomato seeds to Pennsylvania in 1963 after visiting relatives in Amatrice, Italy. Jody donated this tomato variety to SSE in 2025. SSE Accession # 134016.
