VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-BUSH
090+ days, 81 days to first dry pods. 20 inch tall plants produce 5 ¼ x 7/16 inch pods. Very pretty seed which has a large red eye patch that slowly fades into an area of white in such a way that the red looks sponge painted over the white area. The bean originates as an outcross possibly in the late 1970's or early 80's from Jacob's Cattle. Has been grown as a stable variety for over three decades. The originator of the bean is an early Seed Savers Exchange member Jerry Gatchell of Drain, Oregon.
