Black Crowder

80 days, A prolific and drought resistant cowpea, which is very good at smothering weeds. I harvested 1.5 pints of seed from a 4x8 foot bed. Up to 15 seeds per pod, 19 grams per 100 seeds. Pods are held up high in pairs, near the foliage. I got this one from a neighbor. It is most likely Black Crowder cowpea from R.H.Shumway's. 2021 seed
