VEGETABLES / BEAN
SNAP-BUSH
47 to 50 days to pickable snaps. 82 to first dry pods. Early, stringless, flat pods that remain in good eating condition long after picking. Very productive 16 inch tall plants. Seeds are plump light cream tan in color. Slightly indented at the eye which is ringed in pink, and edged in light blue. Dry pods are easy to hand shell as they seem to split open easily. The variety originated in Genesee county in New York state. Said to be and probably is a selection of Yellow Six Weeks. Introduced by the Peter Henderson Company in 1898. This variety got it's name through a naming contest the Henderson company had held. Source: IL CA K ’12, CV Se16
