Highly pungent. C. annuum. Very small, erect, slightly oblong fruit ripen from green to red. Fruit are about the size of a marble. A wild type (piquin) pepper. Smooth, glossy skin. Thin flesh. Small, densely branched plants grow up to 1.7ft tall. Ideal size for containers. Stems and petioles are both green and purple. Highly productive when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Late season maturing. Donated to SSE by William Woys Weaver (PA WE W) who first listed this variety in the 1995 SSE Exchange. Weaver indicated this variety came to him from the collection of botanist Dr. George Thomas (1808-1887) via Mary Larkin Thomas (1975). SSE Accession # 117193
