Pennsylvania 1863. Euro x Asian pear. Vigorous cold and heat resistant pear, wide adaptability. One of the few pears that will grow in the deep south and as far north as zone 4. Very heavy bearing needs thinning . Annual, upright blight resistant tree. Good flavor when fully ripened. Excellent canning pear. Scions 1/4" to 1/2"
