Twiggy

Very late maturing green bean. Pods round, 5-6" long. Nice ole timey flavor but rather tough and starchy texture. Pole bean. Rather asynchronous maturation time between plants in the population during 2020 growout at Heritage Farm. 8-9 slim, white seeds per pods. Seeds are packed together very tightly in the pods. White flowers. Highly productive. Donated to SSE in 1981 by bean collector John Withee of Lynnfield, Massachusetts and the Wanigan Associates. John Withee received this variety from David Cavagnaro (IA CA D). SSE Accession # 101383
