VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-BUSH
Prolific half-runner with purple flowers. 7-8 beans/pod. Hails from Cuba. Produces tasty shelly beans and 7 mm dry black beans. Too tough to consume as a green bean. Can be harvested all at once or over 7-10 days. Should be successively planted as it will only produce a single crop. 65 DTM when planted in late summer. This was my earliest and highest producing bean during both the spring and fall planting seasons of 2015. Torrential spring rains hurt many of my other beans but this one flourished in south Louisiana. 2024 Notes: I did not get a large crop this year and may have to send older seed..
