German Heirloom

Beefsteak tomato. Flattened pink have strong green coloring at the top. Fruit measure 2.5-3 inches long, 3.75-4.5 inches wide, and weigh up to 18 ounces. Fruit in clusters of 1-2. BRIX reading 5.4. Indeterminate plants with potato leaf and styles the same level as stamens. Later maturing and below average productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Very good tasting tomato that has medium sweetness. Donated to SSE in 1993 by Kevin Ortman (IL OR K) whose grandparents grew this variety since at least the 1940's. SSE Accession # 124349
