Black-seeded soybean. In Japan, black-seeded varieties are thought to make a richer and sweeter tasting edamame then green or tan seeded types. Matures in about 90 days. Plants to 3' in height, producing clusters of multiple pods along the stem, each pod containing 2-3 seeds. This variety was Fedco's winner when trialing black-seeded varieties for taste and productivity.
