(Anaphalis margaritacea) Collected in the Cascade foothills, Duvall, WA, USA. It is easy to see why this aster was used decoratively by Native Americans. They also used it in medicine. We love the name, and how the dried flowers make lasting arrangements. Seeds (achenes) are released in white fluff from flower heads in late summer and are extremely tiny. Therefore, sow shallow. Sample envelope will include fluff from several dried flower heads (hundreds of seeds).
