Seedling found in Arkansas in 1904 and later marketed by Stark Brothers. Thought to be a cross of Jonathan and Arkansas Black or Jonathan and Winesap. Fantastic, complex, tart flavor. Ripens about October 7th in Southeastern Wisconsin.
