Blue-green turban squash that is covered with warts and boils. Gorgeous, with good culinary qualities too. Squash have a tough rind and are very difficult to cut into. Flesh is dark orange, smooth, and moderately sweet. Not very productive at Heritage Farm. 5-6 inches long, 10-12 inches wide, 10-16lbs. Brix 11.2. Stores very well. Cucurbita maxima. Acquired by SSE from William Woys Weaver (PA WE W) who obtained the variety from M. Cingano Sementi of Vicenza Italy in 1974.
