Chismahoo

Plants very uniform, vigorous, erect, and very leafy. Stem, stalks, and leaf rib green. Leaves green, erect, medium thickness and intermediate curling at the margins. Very sparse hairs on leaves. 18-25 leaves per plant. Leaves 7-10" long, 4-6" wide. Mature plants reach 10-17" tall and 20-27" wide. Plants were not affected by disease as other varieties when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Raw and cooked leaves mild, not chalky, slightly sweet, firm texture. Donated to SSE by Shane Murphy (CA MU S) who obtained the variety from the Abundant Life Seed Foundation. SSE Accession # 121327
