O.p. variety bred by Florida Agricultural Experimental Station and the Southeastern Breeding Laboratory, USDA, Charleston, South Carolina in 1952. Parentage is ((Victor x Dobbies Champion) x Pan America x Rutgers). Plants produce a nice amount of red, glove-shaped, 4-8 ounce fruits that have good flavor. Crack-free fruits are great for canning. Regular leaves, determinate. 60-70 days to maturity after transplanting.
