Red Montpelier

Cute and small compact butterhead that forms a head at maturity. Leaves are moderately blistered and slightly wavy, red with dark green. Flavor is mild with some graininess and a crisp, juicy midrib. Brown seed. Matured early-midseason and bolted mid season when grown at Heritage Farm in 2020. Good cold tolerance. SSE Accession # 112233
