Winner of SSE 2017 carrot tasting! Sweet. BRIX 7.0. Classic triangular Chantenay shape, stout. Orange, dimpled skin. Light orange core. Root measures 3.6-6" in length, 1.0-2.0" in diameter, weighs 1.5-4.7 oz. Moderate to low uniformity. Plants semi-erect, yellow-green leaves, sparse hairs. Low bolting tendency. A variety by this name was developed by Northrup King and Company of Minnesota and released in the early 1950s. This accession was donated to SSE by member William Arthur (IA AR W) in the mid 2000s.
