Guajillo

A popular hot pepper in Mexico typically used in its dry form to make moles. Fruit are dark red at maturity and similar in size and shape to a small jalapeno but less pungent; 3-3.5" long. The skin is quite tough, flesh thin, and fruit seedy. Slight corking at the stem end. Excellent, sweet, fruity flavor. Immature fruit are green. Plants are solid green and grew up to 3' tall in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Capsicum annuum. SSE Accession # 116046
