Vinny's

Plants average 1.75' tall, standard branching. Small, conical fruit that ripen from green with some purple blotches to red, heavy longitudinal cracking scars on skin in 2010 and 2012. Fruit 2.2" long, 1" wide at widest point, 0.5oz. Firm flesh and tough skin, slightly sweet flavor with mild heat in placenta. Acquired by SSE from the Medomak Valley High School Heirloom seed project which received it from John Parkman, Camden ME. The variety was originally collected during a garden raid after the battle of Anzio Beach, Italy, WWII. SSE Accession # 117129
