C. pepo. Summer squash, crookneck type. Immature fruit in the summer squash stage are yellow with a light green hue and range in size from 5.5-8 inches in length and weigh 8 ounces. At seed maturity, the fruit turns orange and bumpy and 7.5-10.5 inches long and weigh up to 2 pounds. Bush plants and early season is best to harvest summer squash.
