Virginia's Door-knob

Seems more like a cheese-shaped pimento pepper than a cherry pepper. Virginia's Door Knob is certainly less prone to splitting, and less seedy and more meaty, than most cherry types. Virginia's thick flesh is flavorful and sweet. Door Knob shaped? For sure. Green to red pods are borne erect on small compact plants. A Virginia heirloom worth knowing and growing. Similar to Door Knob (accession # 117235).
