Dove

Pole bean eaten as both a dry and a snap bean. Dry beans are pretty and come in multiple shades of purple. They are small and almost round. 5% hard seeded. These beans have a unique flavor. They are plump and smooth. As young snap beans, they are juicy and crisp, though the window to eat them at this stage is short. It has curved, green pods with a dark pink/purple blush, mostly along the seam and the tip attached to the plant, but becoming more extensive as the pods mature. Pod length is 3.9-4.7in. It has purple flowers and stem pigmentation mostly localized to the nodes, with some slight pigmentation present on other parts of the stem. Pods develop dark purple stripes as they mature.
