Globe tomato. Red fruit are primarily round to slightly flattened. Fruit has slight green coloring on the shoulders and slight ribbing at the stem end. Fruit in clusters of 2-4. Fruit measure 2.3-3.3 inches long, 2.5-3.5 inches wide, and weigh up to 11 ounces. Semi-determinate plants have dense standard leaves and flowers with inserted styles. Mid-maturing and average productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. BRIX reading 5.2. This is one of the best tasting Livingston varieties. This accession matches the description of Ideal listed in the 1930 Livingston's Seed Annual. Donated to SSE in the late 1990s by Don Kellums (IL KE D) who acquired this variety in 1996 from Carolyn Male (NY MA C). Male obtained the variety from Jim Tjepkema (MN TJ J) who collected it in Bulgaria. SSE Accession # 126263
