Shanghai Green Pak Choi

aka Shanghai Green Bok Choy. Harvested from my personal garden. These are a smaller baby type bok choy that you can steam quickly as they are very tender. Leaves are lighter and rounder than full size bok choy and stems are light green instead of white. Great for small spaces and in our zone 7a we can grow in both the spring and fall. I've found them to be somewhat bolt resistant but you need afternoon shade to get away with it! I've also grown them in a grow tent and they do well. If you take individual leaves off rather than cutting off the whole head (as is traditional), they will last longer and produce more before going to flower.
