Impressively large, pink beefsteak tomato. A gorgeous tomato with large lobes and deep ribbing. Excellent, complex, well-balanced flavor. A staff favorite for taste in 2015. Fruit are flattened with a very wide pedicel scar and a stem end so deeply recessed that rainwater tends to pool in it. Moderate radial cracking on some fruit, though fruit are remarkable blemish-free with respect to their size. Fruit are most commonly borne singly on the vine. Fruit measure 3-4.3" long; 4.8-6" wide; and weigh 1.5-2.3lbs. Brix score: 5.8. Low fruit yield when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm, but continues to produce. Highly exserted flower stigma. Vigorous plant with dense foliage. 75 days from transplant. Donated to SSE by Edley Bellamy (VA BE E) who first listed this variety in the 1994 SSE Exchange and described it as an heirloom given to him by Oscar Gibson 1993. SSE Accession # 124487
